Create: Necklace

Born in Tokyo, Miyé Matsukata studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, before opening Janiyé, her Boston studio, with Alexandra Watkins and Nancy Michel in the 1950s. Their work exemplifies the modern studio jewelry movement in America. Watkins completed the silver frame after Matsukata’s unexpected death in 1981.
