Emerson’s Model (Front)

Model of the house designed by W. Ralph Emerson photographed over a natural background by A.H. Folsom c. 1878. Note that the round moon window on the second floor was initially conceived as an open balcony. Small changes were made in the shape of windows and decorative elements of the porte cochere.
