Robert Chesnut opened a teaching studio in the early 1950s in Boston’s Back Bay, offering composition and arrangement services for piano and trumpet, as well as vocal coaching. The studio operated in the former Lowe’s State Theater on Massachusetts Avenue, a movie palace built in 1922 that was demolished in 1968.
